ORDER : Heard 1. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has applied for lease of land on which he is in occupation. The application was filed pursuant to the notification of the State government dated 11.09.2019 (Annexure P-1). He further submits that till date the said application has not been decided. 2. Learned State counsel refers to order dated 08.06.2020 by Tahsildar, Nazul Kanker wherein the recommendation has been made not to grant the lease in favour of the petitioner stating that the land is reserved for certain purpose for Municipal Corporation, Kanker. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that as the Collector has not passed the order and he is the competent authority, therefore he prays that the Collector may be directed to pass the final order in pursuant to the application of the petitioner for lease of the land. 4. Considering the facts of the case, it is directed that the Collector shall pass the order pursuant to the application made by the petitioner for lease of land within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is further made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. 5. With the aforesaid direction/ observation, the writ petition stands disposed off.
