JUDGMENT : (Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to sanction Education Loan to the petitioner forthwith.) 1. The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondent to sanction Education Loan to the petitioner forthwith. 2. The petitioner states that he had applied for the Course of Diploma in Audio and Music Production in AAT Academy India Limited at Chennai. 3. The petitioner was selected for the abovesaid Course. The duration of the said Course is 12 months, commencing from July 2015 to July 2016. 4. The petitioner submitted an application with the respondent for the grant of an Educational Loan. However, the case of the petitioner was not considered by the respondent. Thus, the petitioner was constrained to move the present writ petition. 5. The writ petition is pending for about five years. The Course in which the petitioner was admitted was ended in July 2016 itself. 6. The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the respondent, states that they have rejected the application submitted by the petitioner on various grounds. 7. However, the fact remains that the petitioner had completed his Course in the year 2016 itself and already five years have lapsed. 8. This being the factum, this Court is not inclined to consider the relief, as such, sought for in the present writ petition. 9. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
