JUDGMENT Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. - Petitioner participated in a process of selection for the post of Lecturer (Economics), pursuant to the advertisement issued by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. He has qualified the preliminary examination. According to the petitioner, due to poor connectivity, he could not electronically transfer the examination fee in the account of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, within time. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had made a representation on 23.08.2021 to the Competent Authority to accept his examination fee. 3. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: "I. Issue Writ, Order or Direction in the nature of Mandamus Commanding the Respondent to consider the Representation dated 23/8/2021 of the petitioner to accept the requisite fee for the written examination." 4. Learned counsel for the respondent has produced in Court today, an order dated 21.10.2021 passed by Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission on petitioner's representation, which is taken on record. Perusal of the said order indicates that petitioner's representation has been rejected by holding that time for depositing examination fee cannot be extended at this stage. Learned counsel for the respondent has further placed reliance upon a judgment rendered by Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in WPSS No. 1264 of 2021, in which the writ petition, seeking permission to deposit the examination fee for the mains examination, was dismissed. 5. In view of the aforesaid facts & reasons, the relief, as claimed in the writ petition, cannot be granted. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and is dismissed. 7. There will be no order as to costs.
