JUDGMENT M.S. Sonak, J. - Heard Mr. Desai for the Petitioner. 2. Mr. Devidas Pangam, the learned Advocate General appears along with Ms. S. Correia for the Respondents. 3. The only relief in this petition is to direct the Respondent No.2 to consider the Petitioner's application dated 02.09.2020 for renewal of liquor licence. 4. Accordingly, we direct the Respondent No.2 to dispose off the Petitioner's application seeking renewal on its own merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of four weeks from today. The decision will have to be communicated to the Petitioner within the said period. 5. We make it clear that we have not examined the merits of the matter and therefore, it will be for the Respondent No.2 to dispose off the pending application in accordance with law and upon its own merits. 6. The Petition is disposed off by issuing the aforesaid directions. 7. There shall be no order as to costs. 8. All concerned to act based on authenticated copy of this order.
