JUDGMENT Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. - According to the petitioner, he was granted lease of two commercial properties belonging to Nagar Nigam Roorkee. Lease of those properties has expired now. Petitioner wants lease of those properties to be renewed. 2. According to the petitioner, he has completed all necessaries formalities and also deposited premium amount, but Nagar Nigam Roorkee is not considering petitioner's request for renewal. 3. Mr. Ajay Veer Pundir, learned counsel appearing for Nagar Nigam Roorkee submits that presently petitioner is paying a meagre amount as lease rent, while market rate of rent of those properties is many times more. He further submits that decision, regarding renewal of lease, has to be taken by the Board of Nagar Nigam Roorkee. He, however, assures the Court that Board shall consider the matter in its next meeting. 4. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Nagar Nigam Roorkee to convene a meeting of the Board, as early as possible, but not later than two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. In the said meeting, proposal for renewal of lease of the petitioner shall also be considered. 5. Let certified copy of this order be supplied to the petitioner within 24 hours.
