JUDGMENT : AVNEESH JHINGAN, J. 1. The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation. 2. This writ petition in the nature of mandamus is filed seeking directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners. Further prayer is for restraining the private respondents arrayed in the petition not to harass and interfere in the life of the petitioners. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No. 1 is complainant in FIR No. 17 dated 5.2.2021, under Sections 307, 506, 148 and 149 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959, registered at Police Station Bhikhi, District Mansa. The grievance is that the accused were granted bail and are now harassing the petitioners. He relies upon the representation dated 19.3.2021 annexed with the petition as P-4. 4. The contention is that the representation is not being considered. 5. The representation is dated 19.3.2021, there is no proof with regard to submission of the representation. Assuming the representation was submitted on the same day, even without waiting for reasonable period the petition was prepared on 24.03.2021. In the representation, there is only a bald statement that family members of the accused threatened the petitioners and threw stones on the car of petitioner No. 1. No details are mentioned and no persons named. There is nothing to show that the petitioners ever approached the police authorities for reporting the said incident. 6. There is not even iota of evidence even to prima facie support the alleged incidents. The grievance of the petitioners appears with regard to grant of bail to the accused which is being coloured as threat to them. 7. No interference is called for. 8. The petition is dismissed.
