ORDER 1. The petitioner has approached this Court with the grievance that in spite of the fact that land has been allotted to her on 31.03.1991 being a war widow under the relevant scheme, the officers of the respondent-State have not given her possession and document of title of the land. 2. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the petitioner to file a representation before the District Collector, Pali and the Sub-Divisional Officer, Bali along with relevant documents and a certified copy of the order instant within a period of two weeks from today. 3. In case representation is so addressed, the competent authority shall do the needful, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of the representation. 4. In case, the competent authority is of the view that petitioner cannot be handed over the possession of the allotted land, it will search for an alternate piece of land in order to ensure that the petitioner, the widow of a martyr, who has sacrificed his life for safety and dignity of the country, is given the least that the state can. 5. The stay application also stands disposed of accordingly.
