JUDGMENT (Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the representations dated 08.04.2022 and 20.05.2022 to convene the peace meeting to allow the managing committee of the 'Sri Kamatchi amman Temple' to perform the sacred 'Kumbabhishekam of Sri Kamatchi Amman Temple' and dispose the same same within the time stipulated by this Court.) 1.The writ petitioner herein, claiming to be the member of the Managing Committee of Sri Kamatchi Amman Temple, has made a representation to the first and second respondents, seeking their indulgence to convene peace meeting since there is a rival claim by one Sakthimohan belongs to Somanathan Poojari family. 2. From the affidavit and a copy of the representation of the petitioner herein, it appears that there is a rival claim in managing the said Temple between the petitioner and one Sakthimohan. The petitioner's group has proposed to conduct kumbhabishekam of Temple on 13.06.2022, whereas, the rival group led by Sakthimohan has proposed to conduct kumbhabishekam of the Temple on 10.06.2022. In this connection, a representation was given by the petitioner to the respondents to restrain Sakthimohan's group from conducting kumbhabishekam on 10.06.2022 and to permit the petitioner group to conduct kumbhabishekam on 13.06.2022. 3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 4. From the averments, it is clear that there is a rival claim between two groups regarding the management of the Temple and conducting kumbhabishekam for the Temple. 5. However, the learned Government Pleader would submit that based upon the representation of the petitioner, the first respondent has already directed the third respondent to take appropriate action. In proof thereof, he has circulated a copy of the said communication dated 30.05.2022 to the Court and the same is circulated to the learned counsel for the petitioner also. Further, the learned Special Government Pleader undertakes to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the representation of the petitioner herein within a period of one week from today. 6. Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to pass an appropriate order after conducting due enquiry in accordance with law.
