ORDER : 1. We have heard Mr. Uday Narayan Betal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr. Debabarta Chatterjee, learned counsel appearing for the State and Mr. Dhananjay Banerjee, learned counsel appearing for the respondent Nos. 8 and 10. 2. A report has been submitted by Mr. Rakesh Singh, Officer-in-Charge, Kalna Police Station, Purba Bardhaman dated 1st February, 2022. To say the least, the report is absolutely vague. We have expressed our displeasure to the learned Government counsel and gave an option to withdraw the report and file a proper report and ensure that the investigation is done in a proper manner. 3. The learned Government counsel seeks permission to withdraw the report and instructs the respondents/police to proceed in accordance with law in a proper manner and file a fresh report on the next date. 4. List the matter on 17th February, 2022. 5. Let the original report be returned after retaining a photocopy thereof.
