ORDER : 1. This case is taken up through video conferencing. 2. The petitioner, who is an ex-serviceman (Indian Navy), has filed the present writ petition for issuance of direction upon the respondent no. 2 for making allotment of uncultivated government land in Khunti district under the Government Free Land Allotment Scheme in his favour for the purpose of his post retirement re-settlement in the light of the circular as contained in letter no. 101/82-4725 dated 16th August, 1982 issued by the State of Bihar (deemed to have been adopted by the State of Jharkhand with effect from 15th November, 2000). 3. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and keeping in view the nature of the prayer made in the writ petition, without entering into merit of the case, the petitioner is given liberty to file a fresh representation before the respondent no. 2 on the present issue. On receipt of the said representation, the respondent no. 2 after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner shall take an appropriate informed decision in accordance with law within two months from the date of filing of the same. 4. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid liberty and direction.
