ORDER : 1. This matter has been listed for consideration of the prayer of the University that the students continue to obstruct its functioning. Counsel for the petitioners submit that examinations loom large and that the students are likely to suffer. The order of this Court dated 3rd March 2022, was communicated at 2 pm on the same day to the Superintendent of Police, Birbhum and the Officer-in-Charge, Santiniketan. Yet the University officials were freed from the gherao/obstructions only at 1:30 a.m. early next day. 2. Counsel for the private respondent No. 4 submits that students are not blocking or obstructing the functioning of the university. 3. The Superintendent of Police, Birbhum shall submit a physical report before this Court on the grievances expressed by the university and shall appear before this Court via virtual mode tomorrow at 10:30 am. 4. The Superintendent of Police, Birbhum shall in the meantime ensure that the University functions normally and without obstruction. 5. Let this matter stand adjourned and be listed on 8th March 2022 at 10:30 a.m. 6. All parties shall act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
