ORDER 1. This writ petition is filed seeking the following reliefs: a) Issue a writ of certiorari quashing the impugned notification KSLJ/Exam/2022/1364 to conduct the examinations for fresher/repeaters students of various law course from 26.04.2022 with respect to Annexure-E issued by the second respondent; b) Issue a writ or certiorari quashing the respondent No.2 issued regulations governing the Five year B.A. LLB, under clause 15(b), 'the students are required to successfully complete entire course within ten years from the admission to the course' with respect to annexure-D issued by the second respondent; c) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to remit the examination fee and appear for the final year examination of B.A. LLB. Scheduled from 26.04.2022; d) Pass such other relief/s as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the interest of justice and equity. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was admitted for the 5 years B.A., LLB course in the year 2009 in the respondent-college. He states that on account of various reasons he could not complete the LLB Course within the stipulated period of 10 years. Thereafter, respondent-University did not permit the petitioner to take up the examination of the balance papers, which the petitioner could not clear. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be permitted to submit a representation to the respondent-University to relax the existing conditions and permit him to take up the examination of the balance papers. 4. Learned standing counsel Mr.Ganapathy Bhat appearing for respondent-University submits that as of now, there is no provision for the students to take up the examination beyond the stipulated period. If a representation is given, the University will consider the same by placing it before the Syndicate and Academic Council. 5. In view of the same, this petition is disposed of with liberty reserved to the petitioner to submit a representation within a week from today and if such a representation is submitted to the respondent-University, the same shall be considered by it sympathetically and take appropriate decision in the matter within four weeks from the date of receipt of such representation and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.
