ORDER 1. Mr. Achinta Sengupta, learned advocate mentions this matter and draws the attention of this Court to certain disparaging remarks made by the writ petitioner which have been circulated in social media. 2. A pen drive is produced. 3. Counsel for the writ petitioner, Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya and counsel for the State Mr. S.N. Mookherjee confirm having seen the said video and have also read the same in the newspapers. 4. In view of the above, this Court has proposed to release the matter. However, all counsels for all the parties have uniformly said that this Court should continue to hear the matter and should not release it. It is submitted that release would encourage vested interests. 5. Mr. Bhattacharya has accepted the directions of this Court that an apology should be forthcoming on affidavit from his client. Let such affidavit be filed before this Court on the adjourned date. 6. Learned Advocate General has produced a substantive 82-page report indicating the steps taken towards investigation. It is submitted and also appears to this Court that the investigation is nearing conclusion. 7. Let a copy of such report be made available to Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, learned senior counsel appearing for the writ petitioner. The confidentiality of the report must continue to be maintained as discussed in the Court in the presence of all counsels. 8. Let the report be resealed and retained in the records of this Court. 9. On the prayer of Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the writ petition, let this matter stand adjourned be listed on Monday (25th April, 2022) immediately after 'To be mentioned' as 'Specially Fixed Matter'.
