ORDER 1. Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that he and his team have gone through the investigation report that was handed over on him on 19th April, 2022 by the State. 2. It is submitted firstly that the report can at best be described as enquiry report and is not an investigation report. It is also submitted that vital evidence of certain persons, which could have been elucidated in course of interrogation, has been recorded. It is also submitted that the circumstances under which the death of the victim is considered non-homicidal is extremely suspicious and ridiculous and there are other objections also raised. 3. This Court is of the view that State must be notified as to the exact grounds on which the investigation report is being challenged. 4. Let a formal exception be taken on affidavit by Mr. Bhattacharya's client in respect of the investigation report and the same should be filed within a period of one week from date with prior service on the learned Advocate General. 5. Let this matter stand adjourned and be listed on 12th May, 2022 under the same heading. 6. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
