ORDER 1. Permission to file special leave petition(s) is granted. 2. Delay condoned. 3. Leave granted in the special leave petition(s). 4. In all these appeals the land involved is situated in village Harkanchi which had been acquired in terms of notification dated 11.04.1985 issued under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. 5. Under the same notification, some other land from the same village-Harikanchi was acquired, in respect of which the Reference Court vide decision dated 07.01.2016 in LAC No.276/2015 had awarded the compensation amount of Rs.1,20,814/-(Rupees One Lakh Twenty Thousand Eight Hundred Fourteen only) per acre for dry land and Rs.1,81,221/- (Rupees One Lakh Eighty One Thousand Two Hundred Twenty One only) per acre for wet land. 6. The High Court has awarded the same rate to the appellants before the High Court (respondents in the concerned appeals before this Court). 7. The grievance in the present appeal(s) is that the appeals filed by the claimants were entertained despite long delay in filing the same before the Appellate Forum. 8. On reading the impugned judgment, there is nothing to indicate that the High Court has awarded interest even for the delayed period. 9. In the circumstances, the se appeals are disposed of whilst affirming the compensation amount quantified at Rs.1,20,814/-(Rupees One Lakh Twenty Thousand Eight Hundred Fourteen only) per acre for dry land and Rs.1,81,221/-(Rupees One Lakh Eighty One Thousand Two Hundred Twenty One only) per acre for wet land in village Harkanchi, covered under the notification dated 11.04.1985. 10. However, the concerned land owner will not be entitled for interest for the period of delay in the concerned appeal(s) preferred before the Appellate Forum against the reference order. 11. These appeals are disposed of in terms of the above. 12. Pending applications are also disposed of.
