JUDGMENT : 1. The petitioner is apprehensive that her grandsons would be implicated in a criminal case by the Officer-in-Charge, Shyampur Police Station in connivance with the respondent no. 6. 2. A civil suit is pending between the petitioner and the respondent no. 6. There is an order of status quo passed in the civil suit. An order of police help for implementation of the order of status quo was obtained by the respondent no. 6. Disputes arose with regard to the status quo order passed in the civil suit. It appears that a criminal case is also pending against one of the grandsons of the petitioner. Specific allegations have been made about atrocities of the police authorities. 3. A letter of the learned advocate of the petitioner addressed to the Director General of Police, West Bengal, Superintendent of Police, Howrah Rural and Officer-in-Charge, Shyampur Police Station has been relied upon, in order to highlight the overt act of the police authorities and the constant threat that was posed to the petitioner and her family members. 4. As the petitioner has already approached the Superintendent of Police, Howrah (Rural) by filing a demand of justice through her learned advocate dated May 5, 2022, the same shall be disposed of by the authority in the light of the complaint of the petitioner about the harassment and threat by the authorities. 5. The petitioner shall be heard along with the respondent no.6 as also the Officer-in-Charge, Shyampur Police Station. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the parties. On the basis of what transpires at the hearing and upon an enquiry by the Superintendent of Police with regard to the complaint of the petitioner, immediate remedial measures shall be taken by the Superintendent of Police. 6. This order shall not prevent the parties from contesting the respective civil suit and criminal cases which are pending. 7. As no affidavit has been called for, allegations are deemed to have been denied, unless the contrary is proved in the enquiry by the Superintendent of Police. 8. The writ petition is disposed of. 9. There shall be no order as to costs. 10. Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
