body2022
ORDER : The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of direction upon the respondent no. 3 – Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi to make suitable correction in the admit cards, mark-sheets and provisional certificates issued to the students of Class-12 of the petitioner-school. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that correction is required to be made by the respondent-JAC in the admit cards, mark-sheets and provisional certificates of all the students of Class-12 of the petitioner-school by changing the description of the petitioner-school from St. Robert’s +2 College, Hazaribag to St. Robert’s +2 High School, Hazaribag. The petitioner has already represented the respondent no. 3 in this regard, however, the said correction has not yet been done, which has compelled the petitioner to file the present writ petition. 3. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the content of the writ petition. Admittedly, there is no such college in the name of St. Robert’s +2 College, Hazaribag, rather there is a school namely, St. Robert’s +2 High School, Hazaribag i.e., the petitioner. Hence, prima facie it appears to the Court that the respondent no. 3 has committed mistake in describing the petitioner-school in the aforesaid documents as St. Robert’s +2 College, Hazaribag. Moreover, if the aforesaid documents with wrong description of the petitioner-school issued to the students of Class-12 are not corrected by the respondent-JAC, they may face difficulty in pursuing the academic/professional career in future. 4. Accordingly, the respondent no. 3 is directed to take up the present matter and on providing due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner’s representative, to take appropriate steps for changing the description of the petitioner-school as St. Robert’s +2 High School, Hazaribag in all the admit cards, mark-sheets and provisional certificates issued to the students of Class-12 of the said school within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 5. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with aforesaid observation and direction.
