ORDER : Arun Bhansali, J. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners aggrieved of the fact that the petitioners have not been called for Physical and Practical Examination for the post of Fireman pursuant to the Recruitment -2021. 2. Submissions have been made that in the amended advertisement dated 05.10.2021 (Annex.3), minimum marks required in the written examination for qualifying Physical and Practical Examination is 28% for the candidate belonging to SC category and though the petitioners have obtained marks more than the said minimum marks, they have not been called for the said Physical and Practical Examination, which is not justified. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners made submissions that out of 70 marks, the petitioner No.1 has obtained 27.7782 marks and the petitioner No.2 has obtained 32.3985 marks and therefore, not calling the petitioners for Physical and Practical Examination is not justified. 4. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners and have perused the material available on record. 5. The examination result dated 18.04.2022 (Annex.4) indicates that the respondents have called candidates 10 times the number of posts advertised and the cut-off in the petitioners' category is 33.6842. 6. Admittedly, both the petitioners have obtained marks less than the cut-off and therefore, merely because the petitioners have obtained marks more than the minimum eligibility percentage i.e. 28% by itself cannot be a reason for calling the petitioners for Physical and Practical Examination. 7. In that view of the matter, no case for interference is made out in the petition, the same is, therefore, dismissed.
