JUDGMENT (Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF CERTIORARIFIED MANDAMUS calling for the records pertaining to the impugned notification issued by the first respondent in Notification No.34/2023 dated 01.03.2023 and quash the same and direct the first respondent to fix the cut~off date for the upper age limit for fresh law graduates as on 01.07.2022 or the date of notification.) The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to call for the records pertaining to the notification bearing No.34/2023 dated 01.03.2023 issued by the first respondent, quash the same and direct the first respondent to fix the cut~off date for the upper age limit for fresh law graduates as on 01.07.2022 or the date of notification. 2. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, G.O.Ms.No.11/LD~2023, Law Department, dated 31.03.2023, came to be passed, granting relaxation of upper age limit by two years over and above the upper age limit prescribed in the Puducherry Judicial Service (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2008 for the ensuing Examinations in respect of the posts of District Judge and Civil Judge, Puducherry as a onetime measure. The learned counsel further submitted that the last date for submitting the applications through online had already been expired on 01.04.2023, but the same is likely to be extended by two weeks. 3. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that the prayer sought by the petitioner has already been met with and hence, no further orders need be passed herein. 4. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and also made an endorsement in the Court bundle to that effect. 5. Recording the same, permission is granted and this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Connected W.M.Ps. are closed.
