ORDER : Prayer: This Contempt Petition is filed under Sections 11 and 12 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondent herein for his deliberate, wilful and intended disobedience in complying the direction passed by this Court in WP No.13076 of 2015 dated 28.09.2021 under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. The learned counsel for the respondent made a submission that the final order passed by this Court in WP No.24358 of 2005 dated 07.08.2007 quashing the land acquisition proceedings initiated by the Government became final and the Writ Appeal filed by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board was dismissed. The land was acquired for the benefit of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board and the proceedings were subsequently quashed. 2. That being the case, the Tamil Nadu Housing Board has to issue No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the landowner, enabling the landowner to deal with his property. 3. The learned counsel for the respondent made a submission that the Tamil Nadu Housing Board will issue necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC) in favour of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4. In view of the said undertaking made by the learned counsel for the respondent, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in the present Contempt Petition. 5. Accordingly, the present Contempt Petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
