ARCHANA PURI, J. 1. The petitioner has invoked the jurisdiction of this Court by way of filing a petition under Article 227 of Constitution of India, for issuance of direction to the Court below for the time bound expeditious disposal of the application filed under Sections 17, 18, 19, 20 and 22 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, in case bearing No.227 of 2019, titled ‘Santosh Vs. Lalit Mohan Gulati and another’. 2. However, on the last date of hearing, status report was called from the concerned Court, which has since been received and as per the said status report, the main application was filed on 07.03.2019. 3. On query by the Court, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondents had made appearance on 14.01.2020 and four applications were filed by the respondents, out of which two have been disposed of and the other two are still pending adjudication before learned Lower Court. Even, the application for interim relief in the main proceedings is pending adjudication. 4. The petitioner is a senior citizen of 82 years of age and as such, falls in a distinctive category, qua which directions have been given by this Court, from time to time, for expeditious disposal of the matters relating to the senior citizens i.e. who are 65 years of age or above. 5. Keeping in view the same, learned Lower Court shall remain sensitized about the said instructions and proceed further to decide the application for interim relief and to hear the arguments on the application on 04.08.2023 and if not possible to hear the arguments on the said date, the same shall be heard and decided, within a period of one week thereafter. So far as, the time bound direction, as prayed for, qua the main petition is concerned, learned Lower Court shall ensure expeditious disposal of the main petition, in consonance with the directions passed by this Court, as observed aforesaid. 6. Accordingly, the instant revision petition is hereby disposed of. Order accordingly.
