JUDGMENT (Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the entire records pertaining to the First Information Report in Crime No.265 of 2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Gudalur North Police Station, Theni District and quash the same against the petitioner alone.) 1. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.265 of 2019 on the file of the first respondent police. 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today,the learned Additional Public Prosecutor represented that the respondent police has conducted investigation and after investigation since prima facie materials available as against the petitioner they filed final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam and the same was taken on file in C.C. No.65 of 2023. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner represented that the trial Court may be directed to dispose the case within the time stipulated by this Court. 4. Recording the above said submissions and considering the date of registration of the First Information Report and considering the nature of case it is appropriate to direct the trial Court to complete the trial as early as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
