JUDGMENT Nidhi Gupta, J. - It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had applied for post of Sub-Inspector, Investigation and Intelligence cadre where stipulated height for female is 5'1'. It is submitted that though the petitioner fulfilled all other qualifications, however, at time of Physical Measurement Test Annexure P4 dated 11.12.2022, her height was found to be 5'0.75' and therefore being 0.25 inch less in height, she was disqualified only on this basis. It is further stated that thereafter, the petitioner got her height rechecked and as per report of Medical Officer, Civil Hospital, Ropar, Annexure P5 dated 14.12.2022, the height of the petitioner is 156 cm i.e. 5'1.4'. Notice of motion. At the asking of the Court, Ms. Shivani Sharma, DAG, Punjab accepts notice. 2. Since, the petitioner was disqualified only on the basis of 0.25 inch less height, this petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2022 Annexure P6, and re-consider her candidature within 15 days in view of Annexure P5 whereby the petitioner's height is shown to be 156 cm i.e. 5'1.4'. Disposed of accordingly.
