ORDER Writ Petition (Civil) No 551 of 2021 1. The challenge in these proceedings is to the constitutional validity of personal laws which prescribe non-uniform minimum marriageable ages for men and women. The scope of the challenge is governed by the order of this Court dated 20 February 2023 in Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay vs. Union of India and Another [Transferred Case (Civil) No 3 of 2023]. 2. In view of the above order, the Petition shall stand disposed of. 3. Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of. Writ Petition (Civil) No 584 of 2022 1. The challenge in these proceedings is similar to a challenge pending before this Court in Writ Petition (Civil) No 250 of 2019 [Ojaswa Pathak and Another vs. Union of India]. 2. Since both the petitions involve a similar issue, it is desirable that they are heard by one Bench. 3. The Registry is directed to place the both the Petitions together after taking necessary directions from the Chief Justice of India on the administrative side.
