ORDER : The instant writ petition was filed by the Petitioner claiming regularisation on the basis of the Government Notification No. VFV.457/2002/pt/89 dated 30.9.2005, the benefit of which have been given to some other similarly situated persons. 2. This Court vide an order dated 17.8.2023 had sought for instructions as to whether the Petitioner still continued to render service after he joined on 20.10.2005. 3. Ms. M. Barman, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondents submits that w.e.f. 22.10.2005 the Petitioner is no longer in service. In that regard, a set of instructions have been placed before this Court which is kept on record and marked with the letter “X”. 4. The learned counsel for the Petitioner also submits that in the meantime, the Petitioner had also expired. 5. Taking into account the above facts, this Court is of the opinion that the writ which has been sought for cannot be issued taking into account that the Petitioner had expired and the cause of action in respect to the instant writ petition dies with the Petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed.
