ORDER : 1. Heard Mr. A.R. Sikdar, learned for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. H. Gupta, learned CGC; Mr. J. Payeng, learned Standing Counsel, Foreigners’ Tribunal; Mr. M. Kalita, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. P. Baruah, learned Standing Counsel, ECI and Mr. R. Talukdar, learned Govt. Advocate. 2. Mr. J. Payeng, learned Standing Counsel, Home Department has produced an enquiry report issued to the Superintendant of Police (Border), Barpeta pursuant to the order dated 31.07.2024, indicating that the proceedee “Shap Khatun” and the present petitioner “Shahemon Nessa” are both same person with two different names. 3. Let the said fact be brought on record by Mr. J. Payeng, learned Standing Counsel, Home Department, by way of filing an affidavit. 4. Mr. A.R. Sikdar, learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to file an affidavit to bring on record that “Shap Khatun” and “Shahemon Nessa” are same and one person. 5. Accordingly, the matter stands adjourned for today to enable the both sides to file their respective affidavits. 6. Let the matter be listed on 12.08.2024.
