body2024
ORDER : S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J. Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to process the petitioner's application dated 14.12.2022 and admit him for enrollment as an advocate before the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and pass or other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit. The application submitted by the writ petitioner for enrolment as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu has not been considered. Thus, the present writ petition came to be instituted. Mr.C.K.Chandrasekaran, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu would submit that a criminal case is pending against the writ petitioner. Pendency of a criminal case is bar for enrolment as per the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to pursue the application subject to the outcome of the criminal case. 2. With the above observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
