body2024
JUDGMENT : S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J. Prayer:Writ Appeal filed under Clause 15 of Letters Patent to set aside the order dated 01.06.2020 passed in W.P.No.10230 of 2019. The grievances of the appellant is that the documents sought for from the Police Department for the purpose of conducting investigation of an accident has not been furnished. 2. The appellant, admittedly, was engaged as an Investigator by the New India Assurance Company Limited. The appellant performs his job with reference to the terms agreed between the Insurance company and himself. The documents as such sought for from the Police Department relating to an accident become unnecessary, in view of the fact that the Police Department is uploading the detailed accident report in their Official website, which is made available to the parties including the Insurance company. 3. That being so, the findings of the learned Single Judge is in consonance with the procedures to be adopted under the Motor Vehicles Act. Thus, we are not inclined to interfere with the order impugned. Accordingly, the Writ Appeal stands dismissed. No order as to costs.
