JUDGMENT : Hon'ble Alok Mathur, J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing counsel for the respondents. 2. By means of instant writ petition the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the licensing authority to consider his application for grant of Arm's license expeditiously. 3. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that his gandfather had an arm's license No.251/GO issued on 4.7.1972 and UIN 3302700736192015 bearing weapon No.1647 valid for Uttar Pradesh. During his lifetime late grandfather of the petitioner had made a registered will regarding his registered in the office of the Sub Registrar, Sadar, Sultanpur on 10.6.2003 in favour of the petitioner and his cousin brother. 4. After arguing the matter at some length, the petitioner submits that his grievances shall be substantially redressed in case his application for grant of arm's license is considered and decided expeditiously by respondent No.2, expeditiously. 5. In light of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. District Magistrate, District Sultanpur to consider and decide the aforesaid application of the petitioner for grant of arm's license expeditiously, say within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him, in accordance with law.
