ORDER : S.M. Subramaniam, J. [PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or direction in the nature of a writ directing the respondents to forthwith sanction family pension as per G.O.325 Finance (Pension) dated 28.11.2011 with effect from 01.10.2020 after considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2024.] The writ of mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents to forthwith sanction family pension to the petitioner as per G.O.Ms.No.325, Finance (Pension) Department dated 28.11.2011 with effect from 01.10.2020 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2024. 2. The petitioner submitted a representation on 08.04.2024, for grant of family pension under the Widow category. As per the Government Order, the petitioner claims that she is eligible for family pension as admissible under the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules. 3. Mr. M. Palanimuthu, the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the service particulars of the deceased father of the petitioner were collected and family pension proposal has been submitted to the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu on 09.07.2024. 4. Since the pension proposal has already been submitted to the third respondent/the Accountant General of Tamil Nadu necessary actions are to be initiated. 5. Accordingly, the third respondent/Accountant General of Tamil Nadu is directed to consider the pension proposals submitted through proper channel and take a decision and pass appropriate order as expeditiously as possible preferable within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
