ORDER : Abdul Quddhose, J. [PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Quo Warranto to show cause as to under what authority the fourth respondent continues to hold the office of Registrar of Tamil Nadu National Law School.] This Writ Petition has been filed for a Writ of Quo Warranto on the ground that the fourth respondent does not have the authority to hold the office of Registrar of the Tamil Nadu National Law School. 2. It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent University that subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, the tenure of the fourth respondent has come to an end and he is no longer holding the post of the Registrar of the Tamil Nadu National Law School. Since the fourth respondent is no longer holding the office of the Registrar, for which this writ petition has been filed, nothing survives for further adjudication. 3. Learned Counsel for the respondent University has also placed on record the Division Bench judgment of this Court dated 15.04.2015 passed in W.P.No.3668 of 2009, wherein in similar circumstances, a writ petition filed for a Writ of Quo Warranto was disposed of as infructuous, on account of the retirement of the person whose authority to hold the office was the subject matter of challenge in the said Quo Warranto petition. 4. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
