JUDGMENT : M.S. Ramachandra Rao, C.J. 1. In this Appeal the appellants challenged the judgment dt. 03.09.2015 of the learned Single Judge in W.P.(C) No. 7409 of 2011 where the learned Single Judge has dismissed their Writ Petition where they sought a direction to the respondents to make final settlement of certain plots of land in the city of Ranchi. 2. The learned Single Judge dismissed the Writ Petition saying that the appellants are seeking possession of the land and claiming title over the land in question through a Trust and that the Trust is owner of the land in question according to the appellants. 3. He held that a title suit be filed by the appellants for declaration of title and recovery of possession and such relief cannot be granted in the Writ Petition. He granted liberty to the appellants to file a title suit before a competent Civil Court for redressal of their grievances. 4. Though counsel for the appellants sought to contend that the order of the learned Single Judge is erroneous, we are of the opinion that no citizen has a right to claim a particular land that too belonging to somebody else, be it a private Trust or the State Government, and no basis for making such a claim is pointed out by the counsel for the appellants. 5. We see no merit in the Appeal. Accordingly, the Appeal is dismissed.
