ORDER : 1. Leave granted. 2. We have issued a limited notice as to whether the High Court, while granting maintenance considered the order of the GOC-in-C Northern Command while deducting 20.5 per cent per month from the salary of the appellant and crediting the same into the account of respondent No.2. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Nos.2 and 3 fairly submitted that the impugned judgment did not consider the aforesaid fact and therefore, to that extent, it can be modified by giving due deduction to the money that is being deposited periodically in the account of respondent No.2 from the salary of appellant. 4. In view of the above clear stand taken, the impugned order of the High Court, confirming that of the Court below stands modified to the effect deduction of the money that is being deposited in the account of respondent No.2 from the salary of the appellant, be given. 5. The remaining issue is with respect to the payments of arrears. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that as on 08.12.2024, a sum of Rs. 6,70,000/- was outstanding. 6. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Nos.2 and 3 submitted that the above fact is factually incorrect. Be that as it may, we would only say that the arrears due to the respondent Nos.2 and 3 shall be paid within a period of six months from today. We make it clear that he shall continue to pay the amount fixed by the Court without any delay. 7. The appeal is allowed accordingly. 8. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
