ORDER : 1. Mr. Kapil Sibal, learned Senior Counsel and Mr. Gurminder Singh, learned Advocate General, both representing the State of Punjab, state that various positive developments have taken place. The Government of India sent a High Level Delegation to meet Mr. Jagjit Singh Dallewal and other farmer leaders. Both sides have agreed to commence talks to discuss the pending issues at Chandigarh on 14.02.2025. Mr. Dallewal, with this development, has accepted the medical aid and now his condition has improved substantially. He has been shifted to the Make Shift Hospital (Temporary Hospital), which is 50 meter away from the protest site. Mr. Dallewal has also agreed to be a part of the delegation to join talks with the Central Government authorities at Chandigarh on 14.02.2025. 2. We suggest and impress upon Mr. Dallewal that he should reach Chandigarh a couple of days advance before the meeting and get proper medical check-up at PGI, Chandigarh, and take medical care to regain physical and mental strength for his effective participation in the meeting. 3. We are also informed that other farmer leaders, have also broken their fast and have agreed to resume the talks. 4. That being so, we are sure that the conditions at the protest site will be improved and all the stakeholders will act fairly and reasonably and will resolve future course of action which will be beneficial for all and one, including the farmers community. 5. We appreciate the efforts made by the State Administration as well as the initiative taken by the Central Government. 6. We are also informed that the High Powered Committee headed by Justice Nawab Singh (Retd.) had also intercted with Mr. Dallewal and other farmer leaders, and they are also working in the right direction to resolve the pending issues. 7. In the light of these subsequent developments, the contempt proceedings are kept in abeyance till further orders. The presence of the officers is dispensed with. 8. On the joint request, post these matters for hearing on 28.02.2025.
