JUDGMENT : I.A. No. 12486 of 2024 1. This application is filed under Section 5 of the Limitation Act to condone the delay of 547 days in filing this appeal challenging the judgment dated 31.03.2023 in W.P.(S) No.4170 of 2022. 2. In the impugned order, the learned Single Judge without entering into the merits of the case, disposed of the writ petition by giving liberty to the respondents herein to file representation before the appellant no. 3 herein within four weeks and directed the appellant no. 3 to take a decision on the said representation within three weeks thereafter. We are shocked that against an order of this nature, not only is an appeal filed, but even the filing of the appeal is delayed by 547 days. 3. When the learned Single Judge has not issued any mandamus and has merely asked consideration of a representation to be done by the appellants, the appellants ought not to have preferred appeal in the first place, moreso with the delay. Therefore, I.A No. 12486 of 2024 as well as the appeal, are both dismissed with a cost of Rs.10,000/- to be paid by the appellants to the High Court Legal Services Committee within four weeks.
