JUDGMENT : W.P.(C) No.21460 of 2019 is filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent, the Chief Regional Manager, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. not to issue a Letter of Intent to the 5 th respondent to start a petrol/diesel retail outlet. 2 . W.P.(C) No.15234 of 2022 is filed challenging the NOC granted to the 5 th respondent in W.P.(C) No.21460 of 2019, who is the 8 th respondent in W.P.(C) No.15234 of 2022. 3. W.P.(C) No. 17950 of 2019 is also against the commissioning of the outlet by the 5 th respondent in W.P.(C) No.21460 of 2019, who is the 7 th respondent in W.P.(C) No. 17950 of 2019. 4. W.P.(C) No. 8286 of 2022 is filed challenging the Letter of Intent granted to the 8 th respondent. 5. W.P.(C) No. 30043 of 2023 is filed challenging that part of the order in Appeal No.52 of 2023, passed by the Tribunal for Local Self Government Institutions, Thiruvananthapuram as regards the issuance of the licence by the Panchayat regarding the running of the outlet by the 4 th respondent therein. 6. No interim orders were passed in any of the writ petitions. This Court recorded the submission made on behalf of the respondent, Oil Company, that the outlet concerned has already been sanctioned and has commenced functioning from October 2023. The petitioners do not dispute this. In view of the above, I am not inclined to consider the challenge to the permissions granted for running the petrol pump at this distance of time. Without prejudice to the petitioners' right to approach the authorities in case there are any statutory violations in running the petrol pump, these Writ Petitions are closed.
