JUDGMENT : 1. Heard the parties. 2. This Writ Petition has been filed invoking the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue appropriate writ/orders/directions commanding upon the concerned respondent to provide medical treatment of the left leg of the petitioner who has been in custody in connection with Mccluskiganj P.S. Case No. 2 of 2025. 3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that Mccluskiganj P.S. Case No. 2 of 2025 has been instituted alleging that the petitioner is the Commander of P.L.F.I. Organization and police recovered five round of live cartridges from the possession of the petitioner. It is next submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that before the arrest, the petitioner sustained injury as mentioned in the F.I.R. and police personnel also physically tortured the petitioner and there is fracture in the left leg of the petitioner, who has been in judicial custody and has been remanded to the Birsa Munda Central Jail, Hotwar. It is next submitted that X-ray of left leg of the petitioner has not been done so far. Hence, it is submitted that the prayer as prayed for in this writ petition be allowed. 4. The learned counsel for the Respondents-State submits that the respondents are duty bound to provide the necessary medical treatment to the petitioner. 5. Having heard the submissions made at the Bar and after going through the materials available in the record, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent nos. 7 & 9 to ensure that the X-ray of the left leg of the petitioner is done within two days from the date of this order and also to provide adequate medical treatment as required as per medical advice to the petitioner. 6. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
