JUDGMENT : ANANDA SEN, J. 1. By filing this writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for following reliefs:- “a. For issuance of the writ(s), order(s) or direction(s) particularly a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the concerned respondents to implement the order contained in letter dated 15.05.2018 (Annexure-9) issued under the signature of Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Department of Rural Development, Government of India, whereby a direction has been issued to all the Secretary/Commissioner, MGNREGA of all the States and Union Territories to pay the Employee Provident Fund contribution to contractual employees appointed under the MGNREGA scheme from the 6% administrative expenditure of the total expenditure. b. For issuance of the writ(s), order(s) or direction(s) particularly a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the concerned respondents to implement Serial No.13(b) in the meeting as mentioned in memo no.4 148(NREGA)/2008/Gra.Vi.(N) 1015 dated 24.07.2023 (Annexure-12), issued under the signature of Secretary to Government, Government of Jharkhand wherein approval with respect to providing the benefit of Group Health Insurance and Group Accidental Insurance to all the employees appointed under MGNREGA scheme is to be taken. c. For issuance of the writ(s), order(s) or direction(s) particularly a writ n the nature of mandamus directing the concerned respondents to take an appropriate decision with respect to providing the benefit of Gratuity, Pension and other retiral benefits to the employees appointed under MGNREGA scheme.” 2. Heard learned counsel representing the petitioners and learned counsel representing the respondents. 3. So far as deduction of contribution towards Employees Provident Fund is concerned, in the affidavit dated 17.03.2025, the respondents have stated that the process has been started and they will implement it.So far as the accident’s claim and the health insurance are concerned, they have stated that they will implement the said Policy. 4. Considering the aforesaid submission, I direct the respondents to immediately implement the Process/Policy as they have already taken a decision to implement the same. So far as non-deposition of deductions in Employees Provident Fund Contribution is concerned, the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), will take appropriate actions as per the said Act against the erring officials. 5. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
