ORDER : M.DHANDAPANI, J. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to release the merit list for the post of Junior Draughting Officer in all the 8 Departments namely, Public Works Department, Highways Department, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and Tamil Nadu Forest Department/ Respondents 2 to 5 and the merit list for the post of Special Overseers in the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department and the post of Technical Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation/ Respondents 6 and 7 and the post of Overseer/Junior Draughting Officer in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department / 8th Respondent herein in the first respondent’s website along with the reserve list for the above posts pursuant to Notification No.11/2024, dated 13.08.2024 read with the Addendum Notification No.11D/2024, dated 31.01.2025 and Addendum Notification No.11E/2024 dated 21.05.2025 and the information received by the User Departments/ Respondents 2 to 8 respectively and consequently to direct the first respondent to give details of the candidates, who have not participated in the Certificate Verification, despite being included in the merit list for the above posts, within a time frame as fixed by this Court. 2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself. 3. In view of the order which proposes to be passed in this Petition, WMP.4201 of 2026 filed by the petitioners to permit them to file join together and to file a Single Writ Petition is ordered on payment of single Court fee. 4. The learned Senior counsel for the petitioners submitted that the first respondent issued a notification on 13.08.2024, inviting applications for Direct Recruitment to the posts in Combined Technical Services Examination (Diploma/ITI Level) and the petitioners herein, who belongs to BC, MBC, SC and ST categories applied for the aforesaid posts and examinations were conducted and the first respondent had released the marks of the candidates and the overall rank and communal rank for individual candidates, however not published the merit and reserved list of candidates selected for the 8 posts notified in the Notification No.11/2024 dated 13.08.2024 r/w. Addendum dated 31.01.2025 in the Notification No.11D/2024 and Addendum dated 21.05.2025 in the Notification No.11E/2024.
She further submitted that despite the order passed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.A.No.102 of 2023 dated 26.03.2025, the merit and reserved list was not published by the first respondent and hence, the petitioners herein sent a representation dated 08.12.2025, but there was no response till date. Hence the present Writ Petition. 5. The learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent submitted that there may be a direction to the first respondent to publish the merit and reserved list, within a reasonable time. 6. Recording the submission of the learned Standing counsel for the first respondent, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to publish the merit as well as the reserved list of the candidates subject in issue, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
